Points

How the points system works.

As a Residential College, Ayers CCI includes a point system. Resident are required to earn points if they desire to live in CCI the next year, and are part of the housing process for later years. By participating in or attending events, residents can earn points. In general, residents with a higher amount of points have priority for housing assignments. A person with more points will be able to choose the room they desire first. Upperclassmen’s points work by a multiplier system. Sophomores points are increased 2x before housing assignments, and juniors 3x. The multiplier is included only after the minimum requirements are met.
Ayers has a minimum 60 points and 1 philanthropy event/quarter requirement for individuals to return. If a resident does not have 60 points by the end of the winter quarter, he or she cannot apply to live in Ayers for the next school year. In addition, those 60 points must be divided between the fall and winter quarter. 30 points should be earned in fall, and then an additional 30 should be earned in the winter. Only the top 98 residents are able to return.
