CCI offers a variety of social events throughout the year, giving residents an opportunity to get to know not only each other, but also to see the city and what it has to offer. In the past, our social calendar has included trips to Navy Pier, the United Center, Wrigley Field, as well as ‘Dirty Dancing’ on Chicago’s Broadway. In addition to these larger scale events, the dorm holds smaller gatherings for the holidays, complete with our own dorm-wide Secret Santa and gingerbread house making contest, the Super Bowl, and Homecoming. We also have monthly movie nights. And as always….there’s free food!!!

The biggest event of the year is the CCI/Slivka formal, in winter quarter. Residents can anticipate a night of fun, food, music, and dancing with CCI and Slivka’s annual formal. This past year, the formal was held at the iconic Drake Hotel, complete with a gorgeous banquet room. After a delicious sit-down dinner, residents can break it down on the dance floor and expect awesome memories that last even after the last song fades out.
