Where to Eat

There are six dining halls on campus, and multiple retail food place. All of the food on campus is run by nuCuisine, and the food is provided for by Sodexo. The closest dining hall to Ayers CCI is the Sargent and Elder dining halls. Sargent has a dedicated CCI dining room that many CCI-ers enjoy eating in, just to chat with other residents. Another dining option is Lisa’s Cafe, a retail food store that is in the building of Slivka, it takes about 1 minute to walk to Lisa’s Cafe, and they are open till 2am every night.

Off Campus Dining

Evanston is full of restaurants and dining options. There are places for all sorts of budget. DowntownEvanston.org lists a ton of dining options in Evanston, from restaurants to quick eats. However, here are my favorites:

Breakfast: Le Peep‘s is an amazing place for breakfast, lunch, or brunch. Their omelets are delicious, and their pancakes are amazing. However, on the weekends, Le Peep’s is usually full, and the wait time for a table can go up to an hour. They also do not take reservations on the floor. Better send your friend to sit there with a book and wait! Sometimes the Daily include coupons to Le Peep’s.

Lunch: Joy Yee’s is a famous Chicago chain for Chinese food. Although the food isn’t very fancy, their selection is extensive, and they are completely fine with people ordering off the menu.  They attract a lot of customers, because of their low prices and gigantic portions. (You can order one meal, eat till you’re full, and pack the rest for dinner) Joy Yee’s is also a popular option for takeout or delivery.

Dinner: Tapas Barcelona is a little pricey (hence its inclusion in the dinner section), but it is amazing Spanish food.

Dessert: Andy’s Frozen Custard is located conveniently next to Chipotle. Andy’s has an extensive selection of ice cream sundae’s, all of which are great. They have pretty much any combination you can think of. The only down side is that there is not a lot of seating area.
